When not on Radio, I work part-time in a Primary School and in the last 4 years I have also been a football referee in adult and grassroots football in a range of communities in Plymouth. I also consider myself a bit of a comedian as I do like to tell the odd joke now and again. I also began the process of promoting a mascot for Ocean City Radio called Oscar The Octopus and a team of fellow presenters will be looking to promote Oscar into schools throughout the communities of Plymouth. I present two shows on a Friday between 4-8 pm. Tea Time Treats followed by Feel Good Friday.

Having made a nuisance of myself at several commercial and BBC local radio stations over the years, I found myself on air presenting a Sunday morning show on Radio Caroline at the turn of the millennium. I found a home at my local community radio station and then decided to have a go at syndicating my own show where I can play my kind of music. For my sins I am a QPR supporter but don’t know why as they never come and see me when I’m bad. My favourite drink is tea, especially when a packet of bourbon biscuits is attached to it. I also enjoy hill walking in Norfolk.

Stafford’s World launched at the end of May 2006 and is now over 12 years old. After nearly 10 years of broadcasting shows across Europe on satellite, firstly via EKR and then from Radio Caroline, I just thought it might be a good idea to try to get the show heard in a few other […]

Dave Edwards has been associated with the world of Radio Broadcasting for over 40 years, having started as many do, in Hospital Radio. He was one of the driving forces behind the formation of The Loughborough Hospitals Broadcasting Service (LHBS) back in 1975. In fact, Dave was the Station Manager for several years. Dave has, over the years, worked for both Commercial and Publicly funded radio stations both here in the UK, as well as worldwide. He started as a Studio Assistant at BBC Radio Leicester in 1976. He was used as a Commercial 'Voice Over' talent on Radio Trent in Nottingham and Mercia Sound in Coventry in the eighties. Having grown up in the Sixties, and having experienced the Seventies, he has a genuine love for the popular music of those two decades. His special love of the '70s is reflected in his show called 'That Seventies Sound'
